As First Light Reaches The Scene on Harbor View in Sydney

First light touches the steel arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, illuminating the massive concrete cutwater where flood-brown water splits around the foundation. A maintenance cradle hangs motionless against the shadowed underside of the span, overlooking the grey expanse of the harbor. In the distance, a white catamaran cuts through the blue water, leaving a frothy wake that contrasts with the calm surface near the shore. The industrial weight of the infrastructure meeting the fluid movement of transport, with the early sun casting long, soft shadows across the concrete and steel elements that define this iconic Australian landmark.
