Dappled morning light falls through sheer curtains, casting shifting patterns across a polished wooden plinth. Centered in the frame sits a vintage brass zoetrope, its cylindrical drum reflecting small, sharp highlights against the dimmer room. Inside the slits, a hand-drawn animation strip of jagged, wild figures spirals upward, suggesting motion frozen in time. The brass rim shows signs of age with subtle tarnish, contrasting the clean white surface of the museum display. Rain streaks blur the glass of the nearby window, hinting at the rainy season outside. A deep shadow falls across the lower right corner where the metal base meets the wood, anchoring the object in the quiet space.
