Amber Sunset Dung Beetle Rolling Sphere in Yunnan

Rich amber light spills across damp earth as a dung beetle maneuvers a perfectly round sphere. Monsoon moisture coats the soil in a dark, glistening sheen, against the beetle's glossy black exoskeleton. Distant haze softens the horizon line, creating a layered backdrop of muted greens and grays. The shallow depth of field blurs the background vegetation into indistinct shapes while keeping the insect's spiny legs and the textured sphere in sharp focus. Dust particles settle on the wet ground near the beetle's path. The sphere casts a short, dark shadow that anchors it to the earth. One bead of water rests on the edge of the dung ball, reflecting the fading sky.
