Rich amber sunset light floods the operations center in Abidjan, casting long shadows across a wall-mounted clipboard shelf. The plastic surface of the sign-in board reflects the warm glow, highlighting the texture of the paper forms clipped underneath. Behind the shelf, rows of dark monitors emit a cool blue standby glow, against the deepening orange of the rainy season evening. Lamplight settles softly into the corners of the room, illuminating dust motes that drift near the ceiling tiles. The clipboard holds a stack of white forms with printed lines, waiting for signatures in the measured calm of the pre-sunset interval. A red pen rests in the holder at the shelf's edge, its cap slightly askew.
