A sturdy Airedale Terrier stands on the weathered wooden boards of a shaded front porch in Ikere, its coarse black and tan coat catching the dappled light filtering through overhead foliage. The dog's wedge-shaped muzzle and prick ears are sharply defined against the soft shadows of the railing behind it. To the dog's left, a folded blue blanket rests in the corner of the porch, its fabric creased from use. A faded handkerchief lies near the wooden post, adding a touch of domestic history to the scene. The 14mm lens shows the texture of the worn wood grain and the rough fur simultaneously, at the base of the animal in a lived-in space that feels authentic to the region. Sunlight spills across the floorboards, highlighting the dust motes and the specific grain of the timber.
