A damp cobblestone path winds through a small allotment garden in Dublin just after sunrise, where the low angle of the sun casts a sharp, dark shadow from a nearby railway viaduct across the wet soil. Patches of green lettuce and chard grow in neat rows, their leaves glistening with recent rain. A wooden shoe brush rests on a weathered stone wall near the path, next to a terracotta bowl showing faint white twine fibers inside.
