Adjusting Djellaba in Essaouira

The blue hour washes the whitewashed facade of a traditional riad in cool, even light, highlighting the texture of the plaster against the deepening indigo sky. A young woman in a tailored, high-fashion djellaba stands on the stone-paved courtyard, her posture sharp and deliberate as she adjusts the collar of her garment. Beside her, a stack of folded wool cardigans rests on a low wooden bench, their soft textures against the rigid geometry of the surrounding walls. One potted flowering plant with vibrant orange blooms adds a punctum of color near the entrance, its petals catching the last ambient light.
