The still hours before dawn cast a deep blue twilight over a bustling street corner in Accra, Ghana. A vendor stands behind a makeshift stall constructed from corrugated metal and bright blue tarp, preparing breakfast for early commuters. Steam rises from a large aluminum pot resting on a charcoal brazier, its lid slightly askew with white soap residue visible around the rim from recent washing. The vendor wears a faded yellow shirt and handles a metal peeler while chopping vegetables on a wooden board. Nearby, a young boy in a school uniform waits patiently, holding a small bowl.
